Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the pagepin.ai managed instance — the hosted console at app.pagepin.ai, the content domain pagepin.page, and the API. By creating an account or deploying content, you agree to them.

pagepin is also free, open-source software (Apache-2.0) you can run yourself. These terms apply only to the instance we operate. If you self-host, you are the operator and these terms do not apply to your deployment.

1. The service, and its Beta status

pagepin hosts static pages and provides a pin-point review-comment overlay and an agent API. The managed instance is currently in Beta: it is provided free of charge with fair-use quotas, may change or be discontinued at any time, and carries no uptime or support commitment. We may modify or remove features without notice.

2. Accounts

Accounts on the managed instance are invite-only. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and API tokens secure. You must be legally able to enter into these terms and, if acting for an organization, authorized to bind it. Do not share an account or use one that is not yours.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you deploy. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, process, and serve it so the service works (including transmitting it to viewers and generating index/preview pages). You are solely responsible for your content and for having the rights to publish it. You represent that your content and its distribution are lawful and do not infringe anyone's rights.

4. Acceptable use

Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits phishing, malware, child sexual abuse material, infringing content, spam, fraud, and other abuse. The AUP is part of these terms.

5. Suspension, takedown, and termination

We may disable, suspend, or remove any page or account, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these terms or the AUP, creates legal risk, harms the platform or other users, or is required by law or by our infrastructure providers. A disabled page returns an "unavailable" response to all visitors; a deleted page and its stored files are removed. Because all hosted content shares the pagepin.page domain, abuse that could get the domain blocklisted will be treated strictly. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your sites.

6. Data we handle

To run the service we store your account details (e.g., email), the content you deploy and its version history, review comments, and operational logs. For security and abuse investigation, deploy actions are logged with the requesting account, client IP address, and user agent. We do not sell your data. We retain logs only as long as needed for security, abuse handling, and legal compliance. When you delete a site, its stored files are purged on a best-effort basis.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be preserved. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Because the managed instance is provided free during Beta, the operator's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service (which during Beta is zero) or USD 50.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under your local law.
